Analyst View
The Wednesday trading on the U.S. stock indexes was a very good day as the market achieved record growth as earnings reports continued to mostly exceed expectations. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 152 points, or 0.43%, while the S&P 500 index edged up 0.37% and the Nasdaq Composite index slipped 0.05%. Both the Dow and the S&P 500 moved closer to peak levels though about 0.1% below their respective peaks. The Nasdaq ended 1.6% below its all-time high. 

Micron Technology Inc. The worldwide chip shortage has driven Micron' plans to invest $150 billion to address the worldwide chip shortage over the next 10 years, including in a "potential U.S. fab expansion." 

Facebook Inc. will change its group name next week as it seeks a makeover after coming under fire from lawmakers and regulators due to whistleblowers' confessions.

Bitcoin surged to an all-time high on Wednesday, trading above $65,000 a day after the launch of the cryptocurrency's first exchange-traded fund, Proshares Bitcoin Strategy ETF. 

Commodities, West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 91 cents to $83.87 a barrel while gold jumped $14.40 to $1,784.10 an ounce. 
European bourses rallied across the board with Germany’s DAX 30 ticking up 0.05%, Britain's FTSE 100 advancing 0.08% and France’s CAC 40 added 0.54%. In Asia, China’s Shanghai Composite slipped 0.17%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 edged up 0.14% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index jumped 1.35%.
