U.S. stocks ended the first day of the trading week sharply lower ahead of Tuesday's inflation report on consumer prices, which may be "extraordinarily elevated," according to the White House.  The Nasdaq Composite led the drop falling over 2%, while the S&P 500 lost 1.7% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average 1.2% or 413 points.
