The Wall Street will be on pause today after a loss week just ended. The Market will halt on Monday to mark the Juneteenth holiday. There will be no trading in stocks as U.S. equity markets will be closed.

The U.S. bond market is also closed, so no trading in Treasuries.

Stock futures will trade on an abbreviated schedule. They will trade until 1:00 p.m. ET. While metal and energy futures will trade until 2:30 p.m. ET.

U.S. Market had a mixed investors' activity to close the week equity futures are poised to rally following a day that saw drastic selling sparked by concerns that economic activity will be depressed by interest rate hikes aimed at cooling inflation.

On Wall Street, the S&P 500 retreated to 3,666.77 for its sixth decline in the past seven trading sessions. All but 3% of stocks in the index fell. The S&P 500 is 23.6% below its Jan. 3 record. That erases gains from 2021, one of Wall Street's best years this century.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 2.4% to 3,666.77. The Nasdaq dropped 4.1% to 10,646.10.

 

Commodities, Oil prices edged higher Friday despite concerns about global economic growth. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures traded at $118 a barrel. Brent crude futures were at $120 a barrel. U.S. crude futures could still see their first dip in eight weeks.

Investors have a long weekend to look forward to as stocks and bond markets will be closed on Monday to mark the Juneteeth holiday.

Treasury yield, the yield on the 10-year Treasury was 3.22% on Friday morning.

Bitcoin traded around $20,000.

European Market, The investors' appetite is currently down with all Euro bourses negative across the board. London's FTSE declined by 0.48% to 7,050.98, Germany's DAX  slide by 0.15% to 13,145.38 while France's CAC followed suit by 0.15% to 5,891.72. 

Asia Market
Asian stocks The investors' sentiments are mixed. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index decreased by 0.74% to 25,771.22, China's Shanghai increased by 0.04% to 3,315.43 while Hang Seng in Hong Kong also remained flat by 0.42% to 21,163.91.



Cryptocurrencies,
 at an intraday range of $19,616.1 by the hour and a maximum of $20,987.95 in 24 hours.
