Analyst View
US Stocks rose on the final trading day of the week despite a persistent jump in inflation. The S&P 500 rose over 0.6% nabbing its first record close since November. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.7% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 216 points or 0.6%.

Labour stat: The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the consumer price index on a year-over-year basis, jumped 6.8%, the highest in more than 39 years and up from 6.2% in October. On a monthly basis prices rose 0.8% month-over-month in November, below October’s 0.9% increase. 

Commodity: Oil rose to the $71 per barrel level after gaining 8% for the week. 

Vaccine makers remain in high interest as the omicron variant continues to be monitored. Moderna's Chairman commented that the drugmaker is working on more therapies to combat it. Moderna Chairman Noubar Afeyan says the company is at the tail-end of booster trails and expects data to be released next week. And Peloton shares slipped over 5% after Credit Suisse cut the stock to neutral.

European markets, the Euro market closed the week on a positive trend while the markets awaits monetary decision by the ECB this week. London's FTSE added 0.12% to close at 7,300.24, Germany's DAX gained 0.81% to close at 15,751.88 and France's CAC rose 0.48% to close at 7,025.17. 

Asian market, the Nikkei 225 in Tokyo gained 0.71% to close at 28,640.49, the Hang Seng in Hong Kong advanced however lost 0.17%  to close at 23,954.58 while China's Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.41%  to close at 3,681.08 after Chinese producer price inflation eased to 12.9% over a year earlier from October's 13.5%.
