U.S Markets, U.S. stocks fell after the Consumer Price Index jumped 7.9%, cementing inflation concerns as the Russia-Ukraine conflict raged on. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell over 112 points or 0.3%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite dipped by 0.4% and 0.9%, respectively. All three major averages closed above the worst levels of the day.

Inflation, soaring U.S. inflation remains an overhang for Americans. February's CPI hit 7.9% year-over-year, amid strong consumer demand and lingering pandemic-related supply chain woes. Energy prices drove a bulk of the increases.  

Commodities, the price of oil closed down 2.5% to $106.02 per barrel, while Brent settled marginally lower at $109.33 per barrel.

Labour news, The Labor Department reported new weekly claims for unemployment benefits were 227,000, slightly higher than estimates. Continuing claims, which track the total number of unemployed workers collecting benefits, rose to 1.490 million.

Stocks, Amazon in focus after announcing a 20-for-1 stock split, becoming the second large tech company after Google to split their stock.

European Market,
 Current trading sentiments are positive with all monitored stocked on an upward trend. London's FTSE increased by 0.84% to 7,158.33, Germany's DAX  climbed by 0.69% to 13,534.66 and France's CAC also jumped by 0.48% to 6,236.83. 


Asia MarketAsian stocks Current investment sentiments are negative except for the Shanghai bourse where trades are positive. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index dipped by 2.05% to 25,162.78, the Hang Seng in Hong Kong retreated by 1.61% to 20,553.79 while China's Shanghai also climb by 0.41%  to 3,309.75.


Cryptocurrencies, at an intraday range of $38,244.76 by the hour and a maximum of $39,422.36 in 24 hours.
