Analyst Views

U.S Markets, the U.S. bourse bounced back later in the final hour of trading Tuesday as investors digested a fresh round of earnings, rising bond yields and a downgrade to global growth estimates by the International Monetary Fund, which cited inflation and Ukraine as worsening headwinds. 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average tacked on just about 500 points or 1.5%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose 1.6% and 2.1%, respectively.

Earnings Report, Consumer discretionary and large-cap tech led the gains even as the 10-year yield rose to its highest level since 2018, at 2.9%. Energy stocks slipped as oil dipped down to the $102 per barrel level.

Johnson & Johnson reported earnings per share of $2.67, beating the $2.56 per share Refinitiv estimate. It announced it is suspending its COVID-19 vaccine sales guidance due to global supply surplus and demand uncertainty. 

Moderna reported its "COVID-19 booster platform" was effective in trials.

Twitter, investors continue to eye Twitter after The Wall Street Journal reported that private equity firm Apollo Global may be eyeing a bid. This follow's the company's plan to make it more difficult for someone to take over the company after Tesla CEO Elon Musk offered $43 billion for the social media giant.

European Market, The investors' appetite is currently down and the market is sliding down across the board. London's FTSE retreated by 0.4% to 7,631.9,  Germany's DAX  also declined by 0.83% to 14,271.38 while France's CAC followed suit with a retreat of 1.49% to 6,632.41. 

Asia MarketAsian stocks The investors' sentiments are mixed on the Asian bourses. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index increased by 0.86% to 27,217.85 the Hang Seng in Hong Kong retreated by  0.4% to 20,944.67 while China's Shanghai also slide by 1.35%  to 3,151.05.


Cryptocurrencies, at an intraday range of $41, 244.08 by the hour and a maximum of $41,734.02 in 24 hours.
