Analyst View
U.S. stock markets went down on Monday as concerns over China’s property bubble were sustained within global markets ahead of the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy meeting and a debt ceiling debate in Congress. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 614 points, or 1.78%, while the S&P 500 index and the Nasdaq Composite index declined 1.7% and 2.19%, respectively.

China’s Shanghai Composite was closed for the holiday, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index declined by 3.3%. The FTSE market was on the uptrend at the Monday trading by 0.66%, while Germany’s DAX 30 fell 2.31% and France’s CAC 40 lost.

Investors are looking forward to the FED's policy meeting, where the central bank could announce when the tapering of its $120 billion per month of asset purchases will begin.
