Analyst View

All the US stock indexes declined across the board riding on consumer price gains that slowed in August and the possibility of the Federal Reserve starting tapering its asset-purchase program later this year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 291 points, or 0.83%, while the S&P 500 index and the Nasdaq Composite index declined 0.57% and 0.45%, respectively.

Asian markets declined marginally due to plunging prices of Casino stocks listed and China’s retail sales growing at a much slower pace than expected in August.
