Analyst View

The U.S. market ended mostly lower in seesaw trading on Monday, as investors took in merger and acquisition news while also prepping for another busy week of earnings with about 80 S&P 500 companies set to report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed flat, while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 fell by 0.4% and 0.6%, respectively.

Aviation, in deal news Monday, Frontier is buying Spirit Airlines in a $3 billion deal, which is aiming to raise competition and give travellers more options to fly to midsize cities as well as regions that are underserved, according to the companies. Shares jumped over 17%.

Earnings, in earnings, Tyson Foods reported revenue of $12.93 billion, exceeding estimates despite rising inflation and labour shortages. Shares gained 12%.

Hasbro also posted revenues that beat expectations, jumping over 50% to $2 billion vs. a $1.87 billion estimate. The toymaker also lifted its dividend 3% still shares closed fractionally lower. 

Cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin continued its climb above the $40,000 level. 

Commodities, benchmark U.S. crude slipped over 1% to $91.32 per barrel.

European Market,
 the European market by the hour sustain an upward swing in the second trading day of the week with most indices positive across the board. London's FTSE climbed 0.54% to 7,533.17, Germany's DAX  increased by 0.61% to 15,299.22 and France's CAC declined by 1.02% to 7,081.49. 


Asia MarketAsian stocks The investor's appetite remain mixed as all Asian Markets are back trading after the Lunar New Year holiday. However, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index increased by 0.13% to 27,284.87, the Hang Seng in Hong Kong retreated by 1.02% to 24,329.49, while China's Shanghai also increased by 0.67% to 3,452.63.

Cryptocurrencies, at an intraday range of $43,575.36  by the hour and maximum of $45,501 in 24 hours
