Eastward Gas Flows Via Yamal-Europe Stop, Supply Via Ukraine Stable

Eastbound gas flows stopped on Monday via the Yamal-Europe pipeline to Poland from Germany while Russian supply to Europe via Ukraine was stable and the Nord Stream 1 pipeline remained shut.
Exit flows at the Mallnow metering point on the German border fell to zero between 0600 CET and 0700 CET from 674,500 kilowatt-hours per hour (kWh/h) an hour earlier, data from pipeline operator Gascade showed.
Nominations, or requests for gas, to Poland at Mallnow fell to 91,000 kWh/h on Monday from 449,000 kWh/h the previous day.
Nominations for Russian gas into Slovakia from Ukraine via the Velke Kapusany border point stood at 36.2 million cubic metres (mcm), almost unchanged from the previous day, Ukrainian transmission system data showed.
Russian gas producer Gazprom said its supply of gas to Europe through Ukraine via the Sudzha entry point was 41.8 mcm on Monday versus 41.7 mcm on Sunday.
Gas flows via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which crosses the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany, remained at zero.
The pipeline was shut on Aug. 31 for what was supposed to be three days of maintenance, but has not reopened, with Moscow blaming the situation on Western sanctions and technical issues.
Four leaks were discovered last week on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea near Denmark and Sweden.
